About Meg Flanagan, M.Ed
Meg Flanagan, M.Ed, founded MilKids Ed in 2010 to serve the needs of busy families through targeted, personalized school support services
During a year-long deployment, Meg started noticing a trend with the families in her community. Too many students were slipping through the gaps — not getting services, just not understanding what was being taught.
It wasn’t because help wasn’t there. But there was a disconnect between home and school.
Parents just weren’t quite sure how to ask for the help their children needed. Schools weren’t always seeing the problems that popped up at home.
It wasn’t a question of tutoring for the kids — although tutoring certainly helps! It was more about helping parents and schools get on the same page together.

I can’t say enough about Meg!! We moved in late Jan and our daughter was having some issues in school. A fellow friend told me about Meg and I immediately contacted her. She has helped us SO much. My daughter is on grade level for reading and has improved greatly in math. All around just her enjoyment of school has improved. Meg helped me with my communication between her teachers and myself to make sure (my child) was receiving the support she needed!
Meg was great about answering my questions and put my mind to ease! Thank you!
I can list so many great things about working with Meg to get my son a 504 at school. She made the process quick and easy. She’s not scared to hold the school accountable and call them out when it’s needed. Most importantly she treats our kids like she would her own. Her passion is beyond apparent for the kids she works so hard for.
Your expertise and advice has made all the difference – it gave me the format to push back with and the confidence to keep pestering them when they insisted I just wanted my kid to be “special.”
When looking for an advocate it was very important to me that I found someone to fight for my child as I was, had great communication skills and the ability to get results quickly. I got this and so much more with Meg. She not only got the results quickly, but also taught me as a parent how to communicate better with the school. Which has made things in other areas so much easier. She’s wonderful at this and it’s obvious this is more than a job to her, it’s her passion.
